What it costs, how you get paid, and what happens when an order comes in.
- Is it really free?
- Yes. No setup fee, no monthly bill, and nothing to pay until you make a sale. The platform fee starts at 11% of what you sell and falls to 7% as your monthly revenue grows, and it already includes payment processing, so there is nothing separate to add for card or FPX. Physical orders also carry a shipping handling fee (see the shipping question below).
- What payment methods do you support?
- FPX online banking, credit and debit cards via Stripe. Activated automatically, no separate merchant account needed.
- Can I use my own domain?
- Every store gets a free subdomain (yourbrand.berkedai.com). You can connect your own custom domain from your dashboard.
- How does shipping work?
- We integrate with EasyParcel to show live shipping rates from Malaysian couriers at checkout. You can also set flat-rate or free shipping. You set the shipping price and keep anything above the courier cost. We book the courier, generate the label and track the parcel, and charge a handling fee of RM1.20 plus 4% of the shipping you charge to cover that and the payment processing on it.
- Do I need technical knowledge?
- None. If you can upload a photo and fill in a form, you can run a store.
